Bob Henry Baber, a poet and novelist, holds a B.A. in English from Antioch College, Yellow Springs, Ohio, and a doctorate in creative writing from the Union Institute, Cincinnati, Ohio. He was raised on Long Island, New York, and on his grandparents' farm outside of Richwood, in Nicholas County, West Virginia.
